A third quarter has now been completed since David El Attrache and John Ingram became the nominal hosts of Wheels. As such, it is time to take another measure of the partisan balance of the show’s opening.
In the previous Q2
partisan snark analysis (February 1, 2022 to April 30, 2023), Ed Wallace’s Wheels show opening was exposed
as a partisan exercise that derided Republicans 81% of the time over
those three months. Despite that poor result, this was actually more balanced
than the prior quarter, where in Q1 where Republicans
derided 100% of the time.
As for Q3, the following table shows the raw data that was used for the analysis. Omitted from the table are generalized apolitical musings and faux self-deprecating asides.
As calculated from the above table, the Q3 partisan tilt against Republicans/Right is 91%.
As with prior quarters, Ed Wallace never lampoons his political allies in a manner that impugns the policies of his fellow Democrats/Socialists. Policy derision is reserved solely for the conservative targets. And while this 91% tilt is consistent with the tilt percentages of prior analyses, there is one particular entry from Q3 that requires highlighting.

Ed Wallace ridicules someone suffering a medical crisis. Whether it was a mini-stroke or something else, Republican Senator McConnell was obviously not well. And if such snark is acceptable, why has there not been show-opening jokes making light of the cognitive impairment of Senator Fetterman, Senator Feinstein or President Biden? Well, those are Democrats, and therefore untouchable by partisan hack Wallace.
So, on one Saturday, Wallace clowns
at the expense of an ailing Republican senator. Yet, on the prior Saturday,
Wallace expresses deep concern over the loss of decorum. At the start of the
July 22nd show, Ed Wallace criticized Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene
(MTG) for displaying photographic evidence of felony Mann Act violations
(facilitating prostitution across state lines) by Hunter Biden. Yet, the
purpose for that hearing was to investigate the alleged crimes by Hunter Biden.
So, the photographs were on point and not a violation of decorum. Given this,
it appears that Wallace was actually offended by the exposure of Hunter’s
crimes. As for the felonies themselves, Wallace exhibits no concern whatsoever.
Wrapping up his verbal assault on MTG, Wallace quipped that one cannot
buy class, but one can vote for “no class”. That is maybe so. But it is just as
evident that one needs “no class” to shill car dealerships every Saturday
morning, as demonstrated weekly by Ed Wallace.
