Musical chairs were recently afoot at Gilchrist Automotive. And a frequent on-air guest of KLIF’s Wheels radio show was left without a seat.
KLIF Wheels announced on March 1st that David El Attrache had become general manager (GM) of Southwest Nissan in Weatherford, vacating his prior post as GM of Platinum Honda/Nissan/Toyota in Denison. Both of these dealerships are owned by Gilchrist Automotive. Given that El Attrache lives on the west side of the Metroplex, it’s a long, long way to Denison. But his heart’s not there. So that move was likely very welcomed.
Also announced during that show was who had taken over that abandoned GM slot in Denison. That person would be Eric Underdahl, whose last name is the pocket hanger referenced by this post’s main graphic.
And for those unfamiliar with this pop culture reference to Underdog, the following is submitted for your approval:

These moves result in frequent Wheels’ guest Allen Glover vacating his position as GM at Southwest Nissan. But there’s no need to despair! Glover is over there! Less than two months later, The Automotive Edge Radio host Kurt Chase announced Glover’s new position of GM at Classic Kia. Classic Kia is a sponsor of The Automotive Edge Radio Show, but not of the Wheels / Cruise Control radio show.

So, Allen Glover is back again on the airwaves speaking for a fourth different employer. It seems that this guy always comes back. And as such, get him some Gargoyle shades as Glover shall be now known as “The Terminated”.
One week after Chase announced Glover’s new position, Chase had Glover join his show during a remote at Kia Classic on May 24th. The segment started with Chase noting that the interview would not be conducted whilst wearing McDonald’s outfits. This was a reference to a previously published Outside Automotive graphic, as shown below:
While Chase’s acknowledgement of this site is appreciated, a different outfit for Chase and his co-host Bo Carver better befits the occasion.
The above graphic
depicts Kurt and Bo as the Kia hamster mascots. Those two should be forced to wear
that costume every time Chase all too frequently tells the tale of selling a
Kia Soul to a couple that dressed up like the hamsters.
Having now left three Wallace-aligned employers (Hiley, Norm Reeves, Gilchrist Automotive), Glover only has three more Wallace-aligned options (Don Herring, Freeman, Moritz) should this engagement with The Classic Family of Dealerships falter.
