A fourth quarter has now been completed since David El Attrache and John Ingram became the nominal hosts of Wheels. As such, it is time to take another measure of the partisan balance of the show’s opening.
As for this year's Q4, the following table shows the raw data that was used for the analysis. Omitted from the table are generalized apolitical musings and faux self-deprecating asides.
As calculated from the above table, the Q4 (August 1, 2023 to October 31, 2023) partisan tilt against Republicans/Right is 100%.
As with prior quarters, Ed Wallace never lampoons his political allies in a manner that impugns the policies of his fellow Democrats/Socialists. Policy derision is reserved solely for the conservative targets. In the preceding Q3 partisan snark analysis (May 1, 2023 to July 31, 2023), Ed Wallace’s Wheels show opening was exposed as a partisan exercise that derided Republicans 91% of the time over those three months.
In the Q2 partisan snark analysis (February 1, 2023 to April 30, 2023), Ed Wallace’s Wheels show opening was exposed as a partisan exercise that derided Republicans 81% of the time over those three months.
Completing the year with the Q1 partisan snark analysis (November 1, 2022 to January 31, 2023), Wallace derides Republicans100% of the time.
So, the final quarter of the fraudulently named Wheels with David El Attrache and John Ingram show mirrored the first quarter, where 100% of derision targets one side of the political scale.
It is not like events in Q4 did not offer opportunities for balance amongst the opening snark. For example, news emerged in October that Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) was “allegedly given a new Mercedes as a gift as part of what federal prosecutors have described as a bribery conspiracy to cash in on Menendez's power and influence”, as per NBC News. So here is a perfect-fit-for-Wheels story that intersects politics with cars. It is a story that places a current US Senator under felony indictment. That story goes unmentioned within the show’s open. But Ed Wallace deems mildly obnoxious yet legal conduct at a theater by U.S Representative Lauren Boebert worthy of lampooning in two separate show openings.
And with that, Ed Wallace is further exposed as a partisan hack that has been pushing the Democrat agenda all these years. The only difference was the addition of two accomplices with this deception: John Ingram and David El Attrache.
