Huffines Motor Company Stops
Advertising on KLIF Wheels

Yet another sponsor has stopping running advertisements on the KLIF Wheels radio show. Starting with its first episode of 2024, Wheels no longer ran the six spots that has been Huffines’ allocation for the past few months. Serving as a harbinger of this loss of sponsorship, the purchase page of Wheels’ official website Inside Automotive dropped half of its referrals to Huffines dealerships on the Wednesday (January 3) preceding that show (January 6).
Immediately upon Huffines ending its spots on the Wheels radio show, its Inside Automotive website deleted referrals to Huffines Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (CJDR) Plano and Huffines Hyundai McKinney. As per the Huffines’ websites, there have been no changes to the general manager of either, with Sam Huffines running Huffines CJDR Plano and Dale Randolph running Huffines Hyundai McKinney. Both men have been guests on Wheels, with Randolph on the show just last month on December 9, 2023. Are these general managers suddenly no longer friends?
Ed Wallace has repeatedly declared that dealerships are on the purchase page of Wheels’ Inside Automotive website only because they are his friends. He has repeatedly asserted that no payment was received for that placement. Yet, once again, as soon as the advertising dollars stop arriving for his radio show, the associated dealerships start disappearing from the website. Time will reveal whether the remaining purchase page referrals to Huffines will fade away like those of former sponsor Autobahn Fort Worth or persist like those of the former sponsor Sewell Automotive Company.
Conversely, competitor Jerry Reynolds’ The Car Pro Show was able to attract Huffines’ sponsorship just last April.

This sponsorship continues into the New Year, as Huffines Kia of Corinth
advertisements ran twice during The Car Pro Show episode that ran January 13,
2024. So, it
is not that Huffines is averse to running Saturday morning radio spots in the
north Texas market. It appears that Huffines no longer considers Wheels a
productive outlet for such.
